This Act provides the right of public access to the information held by public bodies subject only to reasonable restrictions imposed by law and for matters connected therewith. The text provides for maintenance and indexing of record, publication and availability of record, declaration of public record, exclusion of certain record, computerisation and voluntary disclosure of record, designated official and its functions, information commission and its powers, funding and offences.
