Abstract

These Regulations concern emergency measures regarding a non-authorized genetically modified organism called “LL RICE 601” occurring in rice products. They prohibit the first placing on the market of any rice product as defined by these Regulations except where such products are accompanied by specified document and if specified requirements for split consignments are complied with. They further define offences, provide for enforcement and apply with modifications certain provisions of the Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
