In particular, the Act enables the transfer, by regulation, of specific powers and responsibilities under the afore-mentioned Acts from the Minister of Forests and Range to the Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. Furthermore, the Act enables officials of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts to authorize timber harvesting and associated actions for Crown timber management for the purposes of all seasons resort development within Controlled Recreation Areas.
