This Resolution enters into force 120 days after its publication.
Abstract

This Resolution, consisting of 12 articles, regulates the exercise of professional fishing activities carried out with the use of gillnets within the limits of the Environmental Protection Marine Area of the Southern Coasts, created by State Decree No. 53.527 of 8 October 2008. It establishes criteria for performing fishing activity with gillnets within the above mentioned Marine Area. For purposes of this Resolution, the fishing activity with the use of motorized fishing vessels and gillnets within the Environmental Protection Marine Areas of the Southern Coasts is classified into specific categories (specifying maximum mesh size allowed for surface and bottom gillnet).
