Basic tasks of Kyrgyzstandard are, intre alia: provision of universal technical policy in the sphere of standardization, metrology, certification in the Republic; organization and methodological management for development of national standards and their approval; provision of governmental and consumers interest protection from law quality and unsafe products, works and services, consequences of unreal measuring results; formation of national standard fund; organization and methodological work supply on product certification and quality systems, production test, accreditation of bodies on certification and testing laboratories (centres) for the right to conduct certification tests of products; organization and coordination work on international cooperation of Kyrgyz republic in sphere of standardisation, metrology and certification within the framework of international and local organizations; provision of state control for following the standards requirements and measuring, certification rules and certificate products.
