This Resolution enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at establishing the categories and percentages of fees due to follow-up and monitoring aiming to assess the quantity and quality of groundwater. In particular with regard to (i) brackish and semi-saline waters; (ii) freshwater. Article 2 amends the text of Article 36 of the Executive Regulations of Law No. 12 of 1984 concerning the collection of compensation for excess water quantities that exceed the withdrawal amount specified in the license and used for non-agricultural purposes. Article 3 adds article 15 bis to article 15 of the Executive Regulations of Law No. 48 of 1982 concerning the Protection of the Nile River and Waterways from Pollution regarding the fees in exchange for annual utilization of treated wastewater on waterways.
