Abstract

These Regulations consist of 51 articles that address the management of pesticide distribution in Libya. Chapter II focuses on pesticide registration, with Article 2 establishing the Agricultural Pesticides Registration Committee. This committee is responsible for handling applications for pesticide registration and addressing related registration matters. Article 5 outlines the pesticides that are prohibited from being registered, while Article 6 covers the conditions and procedures for registration. Article 10 deals with the information required on pesticide container labels, whether the pesticides are imported, locally manufactured, or prepared. The registration certificate is valid for five years and can be renewed. In cases of registration refusal, the Committee is obligated to provide the applicant with reasons for the denial, as stated in Article 13.
