Abstract This Resolution is composed of 11 articles. Article 1 establishes the Committee for Facing Animal Diseases, which shall have the following competences: to lay down plans and programmes for the protection of animals in Libya; to practice a technical control on the operation of the Fighting Committees; to unify sanitary and veterinary measures; to define instruments and equipment necessary for the fighting campaign; to propose amendments to resolutions and regulations related to quarantine (art. 1). Competencies and duties of the Popular Committees for Agrarian Reform and Land Reclamation are defined in article 3. The General Popular Committee shall lay down necessary rules and regulations for the control on the transfer of animals from one province to another (art. 5). The Committee shall contribute in the preparation of radio and video programmes for facing agrarian diseases and epidemics (art. 6).
