It is composed of 3 chapters and 1 glossary (defining every aspect of such policy). Chapter 2 deals with the general purposes of the National Policy on the Environment such as: legal and administrative aspects, development of sectorial policies, educational and environmental information and international cooperation. Chapter 3.6 specifies the measures to be applied for fishing activity in coastal zones and establishes the strategy for educational purposes, in order to improve the agricultural and fisheries production (art. 3.5) to protect the coastal and marine zones and to create protected zones (art. 3.6).
