Abstract This Resolution establishes financial measures to be applied for damages caused by climate changes (in particular by river flood of January 2001). It consists of 15 articles specifying the requirements to be satisfied in order to obtain the aforementioned financial assistance. In particular, it establishes measures to restore the productive potential of agricultural holdings and rehabilitate the infrastructure concerned under the Community-financed policy instruments managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries. In addition it aims to manage the use of the mechanisms for providing income support for agricultural households, in particular through the Integrated System for Protection Against Climate Change and the aid from the common market organizations, together with the Minister for Finance, according to Decree-Law No. 140/97 of 5 July, in respect of farmers who were affected.
