Abstract This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at (i) defining veterinary narcotic preparations as chemical preparations that contain narcotic substances for veterinary use and exclusively by injection; (ii) specifying these preparations as ketamine, xylazine, and thiopental; (iii) specifying rules for their import in Lebanon as follows: 1. can be imported by companies registered with the Livestock Directorate and after having received the prior authorization by the Ministry of Agriculture; 2. the companies present data including quantities imported and sold in the previous shipment and the name of the veterinary doctor; 3.must be followed specific conditions for their storage.
