Abstract This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at establishing a Food Security Sector Steering Committee, chaired by a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, having the following main skills in the field of (1) planning by (i) making recommendations on strategic direction and setting priorities; (ii) supporting the sector strategy within the framework of the action plan to face the crisis in Lebanon; (iii) providing advice on the sector's response within the Lebanese government's emergency plans; (iv) ensuring that key sector actors are included, including civil and private Lebanese sectors, and respect their mandates and priorities; (2) implementation by (i) ensuring a timely filling of the gaps response by mobilizing partners to respond in a strategic manner; (ii) guide the concerned working group in order to ensure coordination in delivery operations; (iii) providing technical guidance and ensure compliance; (3) coordination and communication between all stakeholders, including counterparts in the Lebanese government, UN agencies and NGOs; (4) budget preparation; and (5) monitoring and evaluation.
