Abstract This Resolution is composed of 5 articles. The definition of white cheese is given in article 1. The import of local processed cheeses may be authorized on condition that they are packed in big packages, to be used for sweets, or in the original size to be sold to the public (art. 1). Repackaging, reprocessing or renaming these imported cheeses is absolutely prohibited (art. 3). Imported cheeses must have a sanitary certificate, and shall comply with the Codex Alimentarius as well as with the Lebanese Standardization and Metrology standards No. 506/1 of 14/1/1996 (art. 4).
