This Resolution enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Resolution aims at creating the Management Centre for the Rural Villages Tourism and Environmental Enhancement Programme (UGP). The UGP operates under the Government Departments responsible for the Environment and Tourism sectors, through the Environment and Tourism funds, in accordance with the organizational chart in Annex I to this Resolution. The UGP's mission is to ensure the management and implementation of all the activities necessary to carry out the projects in selected villages, in close consultation with the municipal councils and the Programme's implementation partners. The duties of the UGP are: a) Promote and ensure the proper implementation of the Programme; b) Promote information, education and environmental awareness strategies and actions; c) Promote the best environmental and tourist practices in rural villages and support the conceptual design of architectural and landscape interventions; d) Ensure the empowerment of families in the development of economic activities linked to rural tourism; e) Develop actions and create synergies for the promotion of tourist offers created in the villages.
