Abstract This Resolution No. 9/2022 approves the Statute of the Agrarian Development and Rural Extension Fund, F.P. (FAR, F.P.). The Statute, consisting of 37 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Fund, entitled to perform the following activities: a) promotion and implementation of policies, strategies, programmes within the scope of promoting productive activities, linking research and rural extension, assistance to households in rural areas; b) promotion of agribusiness, entrepreneurship and development of value chains for agricultural and livestock products; c) promotion of financing for the family sector and recovery of credits in the Agrarian sector; d) coordination of assistance activities for producers in the agricultural sector; e) promotion of good agricultural practices adapted to climate change that contribute to the sustainable use of natural resources; f) coordination of activities to promote productive, inclusive and sustainable value chains; g) mobilization of public and private, internal and external resources for the creation of guarantee funds and insurance for the agricultural sector; h) facilitation of the promotion of production, agro-processing, commercialization of agricultural inputs and products; i) guarantee the transfer of appropriate agricultural technologies to the producer in the family sector; and j) mobilization and facilitation of public and private investments for the integration of family farming in the productive value chain.
