Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Institute of Sea (INAMAR). This Statute, consisting of 6 Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this institution, under the Ministry of Sea, is entitled to: represent the maritime authority in areas under the maritime and inland waters jurisdiction; promote the conditions for a maritime security for any activity performed in the sea; promote the efficiency and competition through the economic and specific regulations; carry out controls on the implementation of National legislation on maritime security, including international agreements related to maritime sector; licensing and control maritime activities and facilities; coordinate, implement and supervise vessels' and maritime facilities protecting measures, prescribed in the International Code of Vessels' and Maritime Facilities Security; certify, carry out inspections, licensing, etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.legis-palop.org
