Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 31 articles. Article 1 defines requirements and conditions for the issuance of licences for breeding marine reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, molluscs, which are: (1) sites of farms shall have a distance of at least 1000m from residence centres and protected areas; (2) farms shall be provided with a clean water source; (3) prohibition to pollute drinking water with waste and drainage waters; (4) applications shall be submitted to the Agricultural and Land Reclamation Department in the concerned province; and, (5) an approval of the Ministry of Irrigation shall be obtained to provide the farm with the requested quantity of water. Requirements for free floating farms include: (1) conditions and requirements established by the competent department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and by the Ministry of Irrigation; and, (2) sites shall respect the conditions provided for in Form 2. Requirements for coastal farms include: (1) the technical conditions established by the concerned department at the Ministry of Agriculture with the collaboration of the Ports General Department; and, (2) the technical study and verification of the site; (d) the covered farm shall be divided into coastal farms and internal farms supplied with fresh water. Requirements for mariculture include: (a) there shall be a minimum distance of at least 2 km from industrial drainage and waste disposal; and, (b) other technical conditions added by the Ports General Department and by the Naval Force Command. The licence shall be issued by the competent department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (art. 5). The aforementioned farms are to be subject to the technical control with requirements and conditions provided for in Articles 8-12. Articles 14-28 deal with the general provisions such as the conditions for the revocation or suspension of licences, offences and penalties, etc.
