Abstract This Resolution ratifies the Arusha Protocol for the Protection of New Plant Varieties. The purpose of this Protocol is to guarantee and protect the rights of creators. This Protocol shall apply to all plant genera and species from the date of entry into force of this Protocol. A plant breeder's right granted under this Protocol must be protected in the designated member states, based on a request, provided that the designated member state has not refused the grant.
