Abstract The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the organically produced foods. It is composed of 9 articles. Article 1 defines organically produced foods as provided for in the Egyptian Standardization and Metrology No. 5733/2006. Article 2 imposes on importers and exporters of organically produced foods to write in labels all the information provided for in the Egyptian Standardization and Metrology No. 5737/2006 related to the organically produced foods. Article 3 imposes on factories producers of organically produced foods to obtain the necessary certificates and documents in accordance with Egyptian Standardizations and Metrologies and to register these certificates and documents at the General Authority for Standardization and Quality. Article 5 compels authorities, offices and agencies operating in fields of the inspection and issuance of certificates related to organically produced foods to be accredited by the National Council for Accreditation. Article 6 imposes on the General Authority for Standardization and Quality to issue guidelines of all factories and producers holders of conformity certificates for organically produced foods.
