Abstract The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the importation of processed and unprocessed natural fertilizers. This Resolution composed of 6 articles. Article 1 prohibits the importation of animal or plant unprocessed organic fertilizers with the exception of peat moss (tourbe) fertilizers. Article 2 prohibits the importation of fertilizers containing soils. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of animal or plant processed organic fertilizers which are: (a) to be provided with a sanitary certificate from the country of origin; (b) processing operations are authorized by the competent authority; (c) to be subjected to fermentation operations; and (d) to be packaged in unused and new packages. Plant processed organic fertilizers shall be subjected to laboratory analysis in order to demonstrate that are free from diseases.
