This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Abstract

The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the importation of processed and unprocessed natural fertilizers. This Resolution composed of 6 articles. Article 1 prohibits the importation of animal or plant unprocessed organic fertilizers with the exception of peat moss (tourbe) fertilizers. Article 2 prohibits the importation of fertilizers containing soils. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of animal or plant processed organic fertilizers which are: (a) to be provided with a sanitary certificate from the country of origin; (b) processing operations are authorized by the competent authority; (c) to be subjected to fermentation operations; and (d) to be packaged in unused and new packages. Plant processed organic fertilizers shall be subjected to laboratory analysis in order to demonstrate that are free from diseases.
