Section I deals with fishing methods and fishing gears in particular: technical requirements for fishing vessels; instruments and equipment authorized for the exploitation of marine resources; and kinds and requirements of fishing nets. Size of fish and aquatic living allowed to be fished in the Libyan Territorial Waters is given in Section II. Section III provides for monitoring on marine production safety especially: marine production safety on vessels; marine production safety in harbours; and necessary requirements for canned fish. Section IV pertains to mariculture. Sponge exploitation contained in Section V in particular: extraction and taking of sponge; and necessary requirements for taking sponge.
