Abstract This Resolution approves the measures leading to the institutionalization of the Campus of the Sea of Cape Verde (Campos do Mar), which must be structured in a holistic way, comprising three institutionally interdependent pillars: a) Pillar of technical and professional training; b) Pillar of higher education; and c) Pillar of the research. The pillar of technical and professional training, whose mission will be to develop and implement basic, modular and technical-professional training actions in all areas of the Maritime Economy, in order to respond to the needs of the national and international market. The pillar of higher education, aims at integrating higher education into international dynamics and promoting the training of senior staff, with technical and scientific competences assimilated to the highest international quality standards, to serve the development objectives of the Maritime Economy and to leverage the participation of national staff within emerging opportunities of the internationalization of the Economy and National Companies. The pillar of research, whose mission will be to promote the development and conduct of scientific research in the fields of oceanography, fishery resources, climate, atmosphere and other related domains, as well as the scientific knowledge in order to foster the development of activities related to And the use of Cape Verde's integration opportunities in international research networks. The pillar of the research results from the exploitation and profitability of synergies and assets directly related to research, both institutional, physical, scientific and laboratory, and human, attachments to the National Institute of Fisheries Development, Food Lab and Mindelo Oceanographic Centre.
