Abstract

The Resolution provides special rules for registration of GMOs in closed systems. Its current version consists of four articles: Scope of regulation and definition of terms (1); General provisions (2); Unified registry of GMOs used in closed systems (4); and Registration form for a GMO (5). Under the Resolution, only registered GMOs can be used in closed systems in Georgia. The registry is maintained by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia.
