Abstract This National Action Plan for Food and Nutrition Security 2014-2016 (PANSAN 2014-2016), has a twin-track approach linking immediate hunger relief interventions with a long-term strategy for sustainable growth. It is a guiding instrument addressing the improvement of food security and/or nutrition among its objectives in view at implementing the National Strategy for Food Security and Nutrition (ENSAN - 2020). The Plan aims to ensure the permanent access of the population to sufficient, healthy and nutritious food, subject to the satisfaction of other basic needs situation in terms of access to food, food availability and food utilisation.
