Abstract This Resolution approves the National Groundwater Mobilization Programme (PNMAS). The PNMAS aims to strengthen the mobilization of groundwater in the country for different purposes, contributing to the strengthening of the resilience of families and the financial sustainability of the managing entities. The programme has a national scope and must be physically implemented on the islands of: Santo Antão, São Vicente, Santiago, Fogo, Maio, São Nicolau, Brava, Sal and Boavista. The interventions are carried out mainly in the areas defined as having the highest water potential in the following municipalities: Porto Novo, São Vicente, Ribeira Grande, Tarrafal de São Nicolau, Santa Catarina, Santa Cruz, São Domingos, Calheta S. Miguel, S. Salvador do Mundo, S. Lourenço dos Órgãos, Ribeira Grande de Santiago, Mosteiros, São Felipe and Santa Catarina d'Fogo, Brava, Boavista and Sal.
