The Resolution entered into force from 1 July 2016.
Abstract

The Resolution regulates pharmacologically active substances and maximum residue limits in food of animal origin. It adopts a comprehensive list detailing the following: pharmacologically active substances, indicator of the residue, animal species, maximum residue limits, targeted tissue, other notes, and therapeutical use. The purpose of the document is to develop unified principles in the area and to protect consumer health. The list is used when maximum residue limits is checked in food under state control measures, which is undertaken by the National Food Agency of Georgia as well as by the customs authorities – at border cross points.
