The Resolution enters into force from 1 January 2018.
Abstract

The Resolution provides rules for sampling and detection of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia (VHS) and infectious haematopoietic necrosis (IHN) in fish. It consists of eight chapters: General provisions (I); Sampling plans and diagnostic plans for control of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia (VHS) and infectious haematopoietic necrosis (IHN) in order to receive status of a recognized zone and maintain that status (II); Preparing samples for virus assessment (III); Virus assessment (IV); Identification of virus (V); Diagnostic procedures to confirm suspected outbreak of VHS and IHN (VI); History of absence of VHS and IHN in the zone and non-recognized zone farms (VII); and Titration procedure to verify infection absorptive properties of celled species (VIII). The Resolution applies to the National Food Agency of Georgia and the laboratories working on this matter. Laboratories are allowed to use other methods than adopted under the Resolution provided they ensure equal sensitivity and specificity.
