The Resolution enters into force from 1 January 2018.
Abstract

The Resolution provides for obligations of business operators involved in production, processing and/or distribution of plants, plant products and other regulated phyto-sanitary objects. It consists of five articles: General provisions (1); Purpose and scope of regulation (2); Definition of terms (3); Obligations of the National Food Agency of Georgia (4); and Obligations of business operators (5). The Resolution does not apply to family farms where plant production is unorganized and is intended for personal purposes. The main obligations of business operators cover reporting, safety and compliance requirements imposed by the Georgian legislation and the recommendations by the National Food Agency of Georgia.
