Abstract

The Resolution lays down rules for risk assessment, risk management and risk communication associated with food safety. It consists of nine articles: General provisions (1); Definition of terms (2); Risk assessment policy (3); Risk assessment (4); Risk assessment agency (5); Risk management (6); Risk management agencies (7); Cooperation between Agricultural Science Center of Georgia and risk management agencies (8); and Risk communication (9). According to the document, the procedures were developed for protecting human life and health against risks associated with food safety. It also provides that the risk assessment must take into account information from Codex Alimentarius, FAO, WHO, OIE, EPPO and other organizations.
