This Resolution enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Resolution provides for school feeding to basic education students under the National School Feeding Programme (PNAE). It aims at establishing the norms for the technical, administrative and financial execution of the PNAE to the State, the Federal District, Municipal and the Federal schools. The PNAE aims to contribute to growth and biopsychosocial development, learning, school performance and the healthy eating practices for students, through food and nutrition education actions and the provision of meals that cover their nutritional needs during the school period. The School Feeding guidelines are: use of healthy and adequate food, including varied, safe foods that respect the culture, traditions and healthy eating habits, contributing to the growth and development of students and to the improvement of school performance, including those who need specific attention; inclusion of food and nutrition education in the learning process, addressing the theme of food and nutrition and the development of healthy life practices from the perspective of food and nutrition security; assistance to students enrolled in the public basic education network; participation of the community in monitoring the actions carried out by the States, the Federal District and the Municipalities to guarantee the provision of healthy and adequate school meals; support for sustainable development, with incentives for the purchase of diverse foodstuffs, produced locally and preferably by family farming and rural family entrepreneurs, prioritizing traditional indigenous communities and quilombos; right to school feeding, aiming to guarantee food and nutritional security for students, with equal access, respecting the biological differences between ages and health conditions of students who need specific attention and those who are in social vulnerability.
