The Regulation enters into force on 1 January 2023.
Abstract

The Resolution provides for the list of vector species of aquaculture; animal health requirements for placing on the market ornamental water animals; animal health certification requirements for the purposes of placing them on the market; and animal health requirements when importing or transiting the animals. The document consists of five chapters: Purpose, scope of regulation and definition of terms (I); Vector species (II); Placing aquaculture animals on the market (III); Terms of import (IV); and Terms of transit and clarifications (V). The Resolution also adopts List of Possible Vector Species and Circumstances where these Species May Be Considered as Vector Species (Annex No. 1); Model Animal Health Certificate for Breeding, Reinstallation, Fishing Areas, Open Facilities of Ornamental Water Animals, and Placing Aquaculture Animals Intended for Regeneration (Annex No. 2); Model Animal Health Certificate for Placing on the Market Aquaculture Animals and their Products which are Intended for Further Processing Before Human Consumption, Distribution and Purification Centers, and Similar Enterprises (Annex No. 3); Model Animal Health Certificate for Import into Georgia of Aquaculture Animals for Farming, Relaying, Put and Take Fisheries, and Open Ornamental Facilities (Annex No. 4); Model Animal Health Certificate for Import into Georgia of Ornamental Aquatic Animals Intended for Closed Ornamental Facilities (Annex No. 5); Model Animal Health Certificate for Transit/Storage of Live Aquaculture Animals, Fish Eggs and Uneviscerated Fish Intended for Human Consumption (Annex No. 6); Addendum for Transport of Live Aquaculture Animals by Sea (Annex No. 7); Model Health Certificate for Imports of Fishery Products Intended for Human Consumption (Annex No. 8); and Model Health Certificate for Imports of Live Bivalve Molluscs Echinoderms, Tunicates and Marine Gastropods Intended for Human Consumption (Annex No. 9).
