The Resolution enters into force on 1 January 2019.
Abstract

The Resolution imposes animal and public health regulations to the trade and importing of products subject to special requirements. It consists of four chapters: General provisions (I); Requirements imposed on trade (II); Requirements imposed on importing (III); and Special requirements imposed on animal health. The Resolution also adopts a list of animal diseases which mandatorily need to be reported to the authorities. The regulation mostly applies to animal by-products that may contain animal diseases. Specifically, the noted products include meat extract; melted animal fat; greaves; meat powder, swine skin powder, dried blood, stomach etc. The Resolution applies to the business operators defined under the Food/Feed Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection Code of Georgia.
