Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 4 articles. Article 1 deals with the establishment of a department for Reviving pastures and creation of a protected areas in Palmyra. Article 2 defines competencies and duties of the above-mentioned Department in particular: raising the environment system level in the Syrian desert (Badeya) by protecting plants and animals; increasing the public environmental awareness; re-populating the zone with extinct animals especially the Arab gazelle and wild cow; operating for the stability of the environment and increasing the biodiversity; authorizing students to utilize protected areas for scientific research; and, training in the fields of wildlife, pastures and the like. Article 3 refers to the management and internal organization of the Department.
