Abstract

The Resolution provides for measures Georgia is taking to be integrated into the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). It consists of 10 articles: Purpose and scope of regulation (1); Definition of terms (2); Obligations of the responsible agency (3); Obligations of the focal point (4); Reporting alert (5); Information alert (6); Alert on denial of importation of products (7); Additional alert (8); Submitting an alert (9); and Revoking and amending an alert (10). The purpose of the Resolution is to develop an efficient alert system under RASFF. It defines types of alerts about food/feed risks, and procedures for exchanging them.
