Abstract

The Resolution lays down requirements for undertaking an inspection of plants, plant products and other phyto-sanitary goods that are imported into Georgia and whose phyto-sanitary inspection may be undertaken in a destination customs control zone or in a customs warehouse. The regulation consists of nine articles: General provisions (1); Definition of terms (2); Authorized agency and qualification of the staff (3); Requirements imposed on a customs warehouse (4); Phyto-sanitary procedures (5); Requirements imposed on customs inspection point (6); Obligations of the owner of the goods or their representatives (7); Cooperation between the Revenue Service (the customs authority) and the National Food Agency of Georgia (8); and Entering the importation of the product in the goods transaction (9). The compliance with this regulation is monitored by the customs authority of Georgia.
