Abstract

This Resolution approves the technical regulation on spirits. It consists of nine articles: General provisions (1); Purpose, scope of application and scope of regulation (2); Definitions (3); General requirements imposed on the regulated object (4); Categories of spirit drinks (5); Requirements imposed on the use of official name, presentation and labeling of spirit drinks placed on the market (6); Special requirements (7); and Requirements imposed on business operators (8); and conformity control (9). The Resolution also provides the list of protected spirit drinks in Georgia that have the geographical indication protection in the EU.
