Abstract

This Resolution provides for the procedure of determining the categories of threats posed by products placed on the market and rules and forms for risk assessment. It consists of nine articles: General provisions (1); Definitions (2); Grounds to risk assessment procedure (3); Risk assessment steps (4); Rules for determining the categories of threats (5); Data reporting necessary for risk assessment (6); Procedure for making a decision (7); Procedure for filling out the risk assessment form (8); and Information need for determining the risk category of and risk assessment of elevators, cable cars intended for human transit, pressure devices, simple pressure vessels and liquid or air fuel water heater devices (boiler devices) placed on the market (9). The purpose of the Resolution is to ensure conformity of products with technical regulations, to restrict or stop placing non-conforming and/or unsafe products on the market and/or to protect human life, health, property and the environment from such products.
