Abstract This Resolution approves the National Water Sanitation Plan (PNSB). This Plan, consisting of 6 Sections and several tables and matrixes, promotes the access to water sanitation in all the municipalities of the entire country, trying to find sustainable solutions to the problem of environmental insalubrities, which generate negative impacts to the human health and natural heritage. It deals with all aspects related to water sector, such as: water sanitation, potable water, water supply, water quality standards, water desalinization, surface and underground water exploitation, etc. The above mentioned Plan is divided as follows: Theoretical frame work; Methodology; Appraisal of the Water Sanitation in Cape Verde; On-going plans and projects; Plan of action; Final considerations.
