Article 1 decrees the establishment of the Agricultural Medicines Committee in accordance with Resolution No. 5039 of 26 March 1982 composed of specialists from all competent ministries, departments and institutions. Article 2 defines competencies and tasks of the aforementioned Committee, which are to: classify agricultural medicines according to their use; lay down lists of allowed agricultural medicines, their poising percentage, MRL and PHI; study risks to persons, animals, plants, birds and useful insects; lay down requirements for the prevention against poising and toxic risks caused by agricultural medicines; decide on licence’s applications for the use of agricultural medicines; fix agricultural medicine prices; take necessary measures and procedures to prevent risks of pesticides; and, define the suitable form of registers.
