Entry into force notes
The Resolution enters into force from 1 August 2017. In addition, non-compliant food placed on market before the date of entry into force of the Resolution may remain on the market until its expiration date but no later than 31 December 2018.
Abstract

The Resolution regulates adding vitamins, minerals and certain other substances to food. It consists of 11 articles: Purpose and scope of regulation (1); Definition of terms (2); Requirements imposed on adding vitamins and minerals (3); Restrictions imposed on adding vitamins and minerals (4); Hygiene requirements (5); Terms of adding vitamins and minerals (6); Labeling, presentation and advertising (7); Substances that are prohibited, restricted and subject to control (8); Registry of vitamins, minerals and certain other substances (9); Taking protective measures by the government (10); and Compliance control (11). The Resolution also includes Annex 1 on List of Vitamins and Minerals that May Be Added to Food; Annex 2 on Forms of Vitamins and Mineral Substances that May Be Added to Food; Annex 3 on List of Substances whose Use in Food is Prohibited, Restricted or is Subject to Control; and Annex 4 on List of Recommended Limits of Vitamins and Minerals for a Daily Consumption by an Adult. The purpose of the Resolution is to protect the consumer rights when vitamins and minerals are added to food, and to ensure efficient functioning of the internal market.
