It was designed to consolidate and harmonize national agrarian research priorities with the country's agrarian development objectives, in order to increase the impact of its results on transformation and modernization of the agricultural sector. The PE-SNIA, consisting of fifteen Sections and four Annexes, basically has the following objectives: Increase the income and well-being of the Cape Verdean population in a sustainable way through the transformation and modernization of the agricultural sector and the active participation of its actors; Sustainably improve productivity, competitiveness and agricultural markets in Cape Verde through the active participation of the integral parts of the National Agricultural Research System.
