Abstract

This Resolution approves the rules on food ferments. It consists of nine articles: Purpose and scope (1); Definitions (2); List of food ferments (3); Prohibition of nonconforming food ferments (4); General terms for the inclusion of food ferments in the list (5); Requirements on the inclusion of food ferments in the list (6); Requirements on the labeling of those food ferments and food preparations that are not intended to be delivered to end users (7); Requirements on the labeling of those food ferments and food preparations that are intended to be delivered to end users (8); and Other labelling requirements (9).
