Requirements regarding the location are: factories must be isolated; far from sources of pollution; connected with the waste water system; provided with potable water; and the departments operating in factories must be separated. Technical requirements are: provided with appropriate airing; heating; lighting; and disinfection of equipment and instruments. Sanitary requirements are: control of insects; prohibition to smoke, eat or drink in the laboratories; workers must respect sanitary conditions and requirements and shall be subjected to regular sanitary control. The factory must be authorized by the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation. transgressors shall be punished by Law No. 87 of 1979 on the protection of animal resources.
