Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 5 articles. Article decrees the establishment the Agricultural Pesticides Committee composed of 12 specialists representing different competent departments and offices. Article 2 defines the following competencies and duties of the Committee: (a) to classify agricultural pesticides according to their use; (b) to lay down tables for agricultural pesticides in proportion to their toxicity; (c) to define pesticides allowed to be imported or used from the sanitary standpoint; (d) to define maximum authorized limits for pesticides residues (MRL); (e) to specify the date of use and the date of harvesting (PHI); (f) to study the harmful and dangerous to persons, animals, plants, birds and insects; (f) to define requirements and conditions for the prevention from toxicity risks; (g) ti issue licences; (h) to fix prices of agricultural pesticides; and (i) to takie the necessary measures for the prevention of risks and dangers. Article 4 abrogates all resolutions and texts which are incompatible with this Resolution.
