Article 1 defines the Bees Nosema Apis Epidemic which is caused by a mono-cell animal called Protozoa. Article 3 deals with field and laboratory diagnosis methods and analysis sampling. Article 4 deals with measures to be taken once the existence of the disease in a beehive has been ascertained which are: (a) prohibition to transport or transfer the afflicted groups; (b) treatment of all groups with the use of materials adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; (c) prohibition to transport or transfer instruments and equipment from the afflicted beehive to other beehives; (d) disinfestation of breeder's clothes with the use of formalin at a 10 percent concentration; and, (e) prohibition to use contaminated honey for feeding bees. The Technical Controllers shall have the responsibility for carrying out the aforementioned measures (art. 5). Transgressors shall be punished by applying the provisions of the Animal Resources Protection Law (art. 7). Full text Arabic
