This Resolution enters into force 6 months after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The aim of this Resolution is to lay down a monitoring system and right management of hazardous chemical substances. It is composed of 16 articles and 3 Annexes. Article 1 gives terms and definitions. Articles 2 and 3 deal with the aim and scope of application. Article 4 decrees the ban on the production, manufacture, possession, importation, exportation, pursuing or other activities related to hazardous chemical substances without prior licences issued by the General Authority for Protection of Marine Wealth, Environment and Wildlife. Article 7 defines responsibilities of the General Authority for Protection of Environment and Wildlife, in particular to: lay down regulations, information and instructions for the prevention and protection against hazardous chemical substances; examine and evaluate licence’s applications; carry out laboratory analysis and sampling for the evaluation and estimation of danger and risk of those materials; and, create a national database of hazardous chemical substances. Articles 8 to 14 deal with the following matters: licensing; packaging; transportation; storage; production and use; and, control and inspection. Annex I contains requirements and conditions for the storage. Annex II classifies hazardous chemical substances. Annex III contains exposition limits to hazardous chemical substances.
