This Resolution enters into force on 26 March 2002.
Abstract

The aims of this Resolution are to lay down the mechanisms for the realization of the Standing Committee for Environment and Sustainable Development; to prepare a plan for carrying out the National Programme of the Twenty-First Century related to environment; and to specify the contribution of the concerned Authorities in the realization of the Environmental Strategy. The present Resolution is composed of 9 articles. Article 1 deals with the formation and composition of the Committee. Articles 2 and 3 define objectives and competencies of the Committee. Articles 4-8 pertain to the management of the Committee such as meetings, membership, secretary, recommendations and reporting.
