Abstract The aims of this Resolution are to lay down the mechanisms for the realization of the Standing Committee for Environment and Sustainable Development; to prepare a plan for carrying out the National Programme of the Twenty-First Century related to environment; and to specify the contribution of the concerned Authorities in the realization of the Environmental Strategy. The present Resolution is composed of 9 articles. Article 1 deals with the formation and composition of the Committee. Articles 2 and 3 define objectives and competencies of the Committee.
