This Resolution enters into force 3 months after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The aim of this Resolution is to protect marine life by regulating the extraction of marine sand. The present Resolution is composed of 8 articles. Articles 1 and 2 prohibit digging and filling up operations as well as extraction of marine sand in fishing areas without a previous licence. Articles 3-8 deal with the following: requirements and conditions for obtaining a licence; registration of equipment used for the aforementioned operations; requirements and conditions for the applicant; documents and certificates to be provided with the application; and approval or rejection of the licence.
