Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 5 articles. Article 1 defines technical and breeding requirements and conditions for the importation of pregnant firstborns of Friesian and Holstein cows by the public, cooperative, private and joint sectors in particular: firstborns, mothers, fathers and bulls from Friesian and Holstein race; firstborns should be registered in the country of origin: fathers of firstborns should be already tested, adopted and used in the artificial fecundation in the country of origin; ages of firstborns shall be (24-29) months; embryos shall have (4-6) months at the moment of purchase; and, firstborns shall be numerated by plastic serial numbers. Article 2 decrees the applying of Resolution No. 301/T of 2006 and its amendments on the issuance of the implementing regulation for the Law No. 29 of 2006 on the animal wealth protection to the importation of the aforementioned races. Article 3 deals with measures and procedures to be taken in Syria for the control of firstborns.
