This Resolution enters into force on 16 June 2005.
Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 3 articles. Article 1 lists competencies, acts, operations and works to be carried out only by agricultural engineers members of the Agricultural Trade-Union, including: (1) agricultural consultation; (2) technical control on the agricultural production; (3) agricultural crops research; (4) participation in studying technical and economic advantages and utility of agricultural projects; (5) the study of the suitability of agricultural equipments and instruments; (6) reclamation, reformation, development and improvement of lands; (7) technical and administrative control of farms; (8) definition and classification of cultivable lands and desert lands; (9) soil conservation; (10) analysis of soil and drainage waters; (11) control on pesticides; (12) regulation of agricultural land ownership; (13) regulation of operations of irrigation; (14) control and inspection on seed reproduction; (15) selection and ginning of cotton; (16) control of gardens, nurseries, fruit production, vegetable production, floriculture, ornamental plants, medical plants, seeds and pastures; (17) management and control on rice production and cultivation; (18) control on silos and freezing operations; (19) technical control on the estimation, valuation, preparation and loading of agricultural crops; (20) control on supply of food, agricultural commodities; (21) control on the management of animal resources, fish resources, poultry and slaughterhouses; (22) animal breeding; (23) control on animal production and aquaculture; (24) control on dairy products; (25) food industries and agricultural chemical industries; (26) control on the nutrition operations and food production; (27) quarantine; (28) diagnosis of pests and diseases, treatment methods and control; (29) control on pesticides; (30) laboratories and food analysis; (31) control on plant nurseries; (32) agricultural cooperatives; (33) agricultural credits; (34) culture and agricultural information; (35) importation and exportation of agricultural commodities and animal products; (36) agricultural financing, statistic, planning and agricultural policies; (37) agricultural specialist training, etc. All texts and rules which are incompatible with this Resolution shall be abrogated (art. 2).
